Tasty Jello Shots

I am always attending social events, or parties where I am asked to bring something. If the party is BYOB, then I usually consider making jello shots. They are fun, tasty and everyone loves them!!! if you are looking for a few recipes or ideas try these:

~Lime Jello and Tequila. It tastes like a margarita!

~Like chocolate covered cherries? try Creme De Cacao and Cherry Jello. You can even top the jello shot with a mini dollop of whipped cream for added flavor.

Another idea is to cut up a piece of fruit, like strawberries or a pineapple and soak it in alcohol overnight. The Fruit will absorb the alcohol, and you can add small pieces to your jello shots for added taste. Remember when you are using a higher proof of alcohol, you will need to use more water for the jello to actually set. Usually, anything over 100 proof requires 6 0z. of water or more.

Here is my favorite jello shot recipe:

Raspberry Jello and Peach Schnapps. Replace one cup of water with Peach Schnapps. It helps to chill liquor before adding it to the jello. Once set, it tastes like a fruity combination of flavors!!!
